One Millionth in the Sense of Yesterday is an ongoing series. This series is a glimpse into my state of mind as I move through and photograph the city. These works are about how although people may live and “see” the city daily, it is not a view they take in – the people become like ghosts in daily life, existing without reflection. Each photo is inspired by the music I listen to as I shoot and edit – lyrics often becoming the title of the work, both giving a glimpse into my state of mind and fitting to the goings on around.
These images beg the question: Is it the city that is soulless? Or is it the people who live within its borders?
