My artistic jouney emerged from being captivated by dreams, the human mind, imagery, and the evocative aesthetics of old master pamtings. Transitioning from photographing action figures to embracing Ball-Jointed Dolls (BJDs), I discovered a uniquely expressive medium to explore complex narratives rich in symbolic depth and psychological resonance.
In my fine art photography, BJDs become protagonists in meticulously constructed miniature worlds. Through careful staging and the deliberate use of scaled objects, each composition reflects a layered narrative inspired by surrealism and the aesthetics of the Baroque and Renaissance. These photographic scenes navigate the delicate line between reality and the dreamlike landscapes of our subconscious.
The central themes in my work revolve around mternal conflicts, mvisible boundaries, and the fragile balance between emotional silence and expression. Each photograph invites viewers to a deeper exploration of their inner selves, bridging personal narratives with universal emotional truths.
These images explore profound expressions of introspection and emotional fragility. Through symbolic gestures, gentle interactions, and carefully composed portraits, each image seeks to convey subtle narratives of vulnerability, contemplation, and quiet resilience.
Illummated by window light, enriched with layered textures like fabric, wood, and aged surfaces and balanced tones, these scenes create an atmosphere of empathy and reflection. Each image invites the viewer into an intimate dialogue, where I am, as I often say, recording the unconscious and opening windows.
